There are many reasons why I joined this media class and why I keep on doing it. I am going to tell you about 3 reasons why I joined and what I am going to do next year in high school. Here it is.
One reason I joined was because it sounded cool and I had wanted to be in on of the honors courses, and the advanced media productions class seemed like the one I would like the most, even though they never really told us anything about the class when I was in elementary school, I didn't even know we would make news stories. I am glad that I decided to join media and not the leadership class or yearbook, those two are not really my thing, especially going on camera in front of the whole school reciting lines, not my strong point.
One reason that I stay is because I really enjoy this class and I think that it is one of the best classes offered at the school. I enjoyed the class and everything we did, except I wasn't too fond of having to do 2 blogs a week, like I think all 6th graders are. Now they are just a habit. In sixth grade I missed a couple blogs, seventh a few less, and this year so far I haven't missed a single one, and I plan to keep it that way. I just really enjoy this class and I wish I could continue in it some more.
I will admit that I do enjoy all of the cool gear that we have and the trips, but who doesn't enjoy it, that's just one of the perks of being in the class. I get to do and learn things that I wouldn't have if I decided to quit the class, and I would really not like that. Media is a part of my middle school life, to me it's like middle school itself, it's just apart of my life. If I were to quit media, things would be really different for me. I enjoy media and it has become a regular thing for me.
Next year I want to go into the high school media course, but my parents don't really want me doing it. I will still be taking the AC Core class, but not necessarily the digital media class. I will keep on doing media with the Above Moon Films and their camps. I think that camera man is a possible career for me and I would like to keep on doing it, not really the story parts though.
I like the media class, but sometimes I just don't have time for it to be my first priority. Sometimes one part of media comes before another. I would love to help out the class as long as it doesn't interfere with my plans that can't be changed. Well, see you soon!
I am in 8th grade in my school's Advanced Media class. I love this class and I have been having lots of fun in it. This past year we went to San Diego, where STN was held, and the year before it was in Orlando. This year it was in Atlanta, Georgia.
