We just had our first STN practice for the year this past Saturday the 17th, and my topic for spot feature was Do-over. It was about if you could go back in time and change on thing in your life, what would you change. We had blog of the same topic not too long ago, so HERE is what I would change if I could go back in time.
I think that we did a good job on our first practice, but there is one thing I would change. That one thing would be to let Kolten do some more work because he really only grabbed the gear that we needed, took a few shots of b-roll, interviewed Jezlene, and helped a little with coming up with what to do for our video. Also, I would also change the fact that I came about 10 minutes late, but the good news is that I did not miss much.
Our story was about Jezlene, one of the 6th grade girls in media, and what mistake she would do-over. It wasn't the best story possible, but it was a story good enough for a practice. We finished editing about half an hour early, but we did the best we could. We took about 20 minutes to find a story, and about 10 minutes to interview. We spent the rest of our filming time on b-roll and voice-overs.
Overall, I think that we did a good job working with our new team for our first practice. There were not even small arguments in our team and we all got along fine. we were able to produce a decent news story for our practice, but you can be the judge of that HERE. It was fun to produce a news story in 5 hours again, the last time I did it, it was about a year ago.
I hope you like the video! I will have another practice in about a month, and I would put that one up too. Just check out my STN practices page soon to find more! I will see you soon!
I am in 8th grade in my school's Advanced Media class. I love this class and I have been having lots of fun in it. This past year we went to San Diego, where STN was held, and the year before it was in Orlando. This year it was in Atlanta, Georgia.
