Now that it is getting close to the time to start editing our 1st quarter projects, all the newbies need to learn how to edit. Since I do not have a partner to teach, I will provide help to everyone. Editing in Final Cut Pro 10 is really simple once you know the basics in editing on it. On every one of the CKTV Mac books, there should be a folder on the desktop that says something like "Final Cut Pro editing", it might not be exactly like that, but something similar. In there, there is some more folders, about 10, each of them will have a few clips in them depending on the topic you are in. I suggest watching only the first folder, which is either the basics or the introduction folder. It will teach you all the basics for editing in Final Cut Pro 10. You only will need to go into the other folders to learn more advanced things. If you did not get something from the first folder, like how to put in lower thirds, you can ask your partner, they should know, but if they don't, you can simply go into the designated folder, for the lower thirds it might be "Putting text in your video" or something similar. You simply then find the clip that says that it shows you how to make lower thirds. There are many other tricks and tips, and I will also post a link below for a website that briefly explains the basics of editing in Final Cut Pro 10, but if that is not enough for you, you can always check out the videos too! See you later, bye!

I am in 8th grade in my school's Advanced Media class. I love this class and I have been having lots of fun in it. This past year we went to San Diego, where STN was held, and the year before it was in Orlando. This year it was in Atlanta, Georgia.
