This past weekend we had our first and only Crazy 8's practice. We did pretty decent on each team, but like always, we can do better.
I think that we did okay on the Broadcast team. We did a good final video, but we had a few problems. We didn't really get things done fast enough for there to be a good end product.
Our main problems were that we didn't get the individual stories done fast enough, or the anchors. Only one story made it in before 2, one at 2:30, one at 3, and the last at 3:30 and our deadline was at 4. We didn't have much time to put the whole thing together, and because of that we were over the time limit and the audio was not leveled out. One of the good things we had was the storylines. I think that we got some pretty good stories for the topic "Aloha Spirit".
We really need to improve on speed. I would try to get done faster, and also when I am done, I will see if any other group would want help with their stories to help speed them up. I could also start putting together what we have done earlier and smooth out the audio.
Overall, we did not do the best, but I think we would have done good enough to qualify. The good thing about that practice is that we found out what we need to work on more, which is just what the practice is for, and I think we now know what it is. Well, come back soon for some more, bye!
I am in 8th grade in my school's Advanced Media class. I love this class and I have been having lots of fun in it. This past year we went to San Diego, where STN was held, and the year before it was in Orlando. This year it was in Atlanta, Georgia.
