As you might already know, this weekend is our CKTV Koke'e Camp. The theme of this camp it "Ohana" Means Family. This camp is supposed to simulate the STN trip so that the bonds that we create on the trip happen sooner. I will tell you a few ways I will help support the theme and purpose.
One way I will help support the theme is by simply being nice to others. When you are nice to others, people will like you more and will want to have a bond with you that you end up with at the end of the year when you are in the CKTV media class. Being nice can cause more things to happen than you think that it could. Being nice is always a nice thing to do, and the right thing.
Another way I will help support the theme and fulfill the purpose of the camp is getting to know every one a little better. When I know people better, it will be less likely that I will offend them because I will already know what does and what does not. The way the bond is formed is by everyone being forced to know others better than you did before. I will also let others know me better, so the same can happen for them.
The final way I will support this camp will be by spending more time with the people that I normally don't. I wont always be with the second and third year students that I know pretty well already. I will go and be with maybe the second and third year students that I don't know as well, and definitely with the first year students that I know nothing really about them.
I know that this camp will be tons of fun. I hope that every one helps on keeping it fun throughout the whole camp. Well, off to go get ready for the camp, bye!
I am in 8th grade in my school's Advanced Media class. I love this class and I have been having lots of fun in it. This past year we went to San Diego, where STN was held, and the year before it was in Orlando. This year it was in Atlanta, Georgia.
