We finally finished and submitted our final projects yesterday. My project is on Hanapepe Friday Nights. We are telling everyone about what Hanapepe Friday Nights is and how amazing it is. We show the details behind why people come back and what they love about it. If you would like to see my TIAS and 5 points, click HERE. If you would like to see my script, click HERE. If you would like to see our final video, click HERE. I hope you like what we did!
I will tell you what I am thankful for, with this blog being assigned the week of Thanksgiving, it would fit perfectly with the holiday that passed. Well, the first thing is that I am thankful for my family. Another is the family trips that my family and I have. The final is having fun classes in school.
I am thankful for my family, just like everyone should be. I like to be around them. One reason I like to be around them is because my dad is usually at work, I am usually not home until 4pm, and my sister is almost always gone until late. When I do get to be around them and do things with them it is always fun.
My family and I have at least two family trips off island a year, and when we do, we always have fun. Every year we go to Oahu and spend about a week there. We also go to either California or Oregon to visit our grandparents and cousins, we only have second cousins on island. Whenever we go, we always have lots of fun.
I am also thankful for awesome classes at school. One awesome class that I have is this media class. I have lots of fun being in this class and I enjoy doing what we have to do in this class. Another class I really love is my band class. I really love playing the trumpet in my band class, and I am even in an extra curricular activity, which is our school jazz band.
I am thankful for many other things too of course, but this was just to name a few. I think that mostly everybody would agree with me that most of the things that I have written down here are similar to what they are thankful for. I have to go now, bye!
I was bored and I was on YouTube, and I came across a PSA that is kind of like the idea of the last PSA I shared with you, it has an interesting title and idea that lures in people, and opens their mind, giving them curiosity so they want to see it. It is a PSA about cyber bullying, but it portrays the cyber bullying as a virus, one that spreads and no one is immune, and only one cure. I think we should try to think of things like this that are different and capture your attention by it being different and making it stand out. If we can do this to all of our PSAs, then we will have more and more people enjoying them. I know I can't tell you about a greatly portrayed PSA and not have proof, so click this link here to get to this PSA. I hope you think that it is portrayed in a different, unique way like I do. I will see you next time, bye!
On our project, we might be behind. I say that for a couple reasons. One thing I will tell you, and the most important, is why I think I am a little behind. I will also tell you what we still have left to do. I will also tell you how I think we will catch up.
I think we might be behind what I planned for because I planned to be done with a first draft by tomorrow. We have only done the first amount of editing and we might not get to some of the editing before tomorrow.
We still have to edit the voice overs into the timeline, put in b-roll, and more. We still have to shoot our stand-up. We are a little behind, but we might be able to finish it on time if we are able to get our stand-up done fast, it usually takes around half an hour at most.
I know we will catch up because if the spot feature team an make a whole news story in less then 5 hours, then I know I can with me being on the team last year. We really don't have much to do if you could look at all the things we have left.
I know we will be able to get our project done on time. We have this happen all the time, where we get our project's first draft done about a week before the due date. I will see you later!
Our projects are going to be soon, and we are starting to edit. Even though there is quite a bit to edit, I think we could finish the first draft by the end of the week at the latest. I have only started making the project and importing the files. We still need to start actually editing and we need to record voice overs. We should be able to finish and I think we will. When I finish, come back and check out our video. It's getting late, so I will be back later to give you another update, and possibly a rough-cut!
I still have not gotten an email from my pen pal but I will tell you about what I think I will say to him/her. I think that I will tell them about what our media class is like. I also think I will tell them what I like. I will also answer any questions he has for me.
I will probably tell them about some fundraisers we have done and what some of our awards are. I will also tell them some of the basic of our media class they may not know about. I also tell them whatever else they want to know about our class.
I will definitely tell them that I am a seventh grader for one. I will also tell them that I am a second year student in this media class. I will tell them that I enjoy this media class. I will also tell them that I am a second year band student and that I play the trumpet.
I will also answer mostly any questions they have for me. If they have questions that I have not answered in the rest of my email, I will answer them. I will also direct them to my blog site, where they can see my videos, Inside Scoops, and also my blogs. I will also tell them about our class website and vimeo, if they want to check them out.
It's getting late, and so I need to end this soon. I bet you that half of the other student will say something similar. I hope I get my pen pal soon! See you later!
I am in 8th grade in my school's Advanced Media class. I love this class and I have been having lots of fun in it. This past year we went to San Diego, where STN was held, and the year before it was in Orlando. This year it was in Atlanta, Georgia.
