With our 4th quarter projects started, and moving along faster than you would think, and STN even closer, it has been a little crazy. With all the craziness, we have been able to get our TIAS done, witch was due this past Friday. We have decided on the topic/title of the Master Plan, and we decided that the villains will want to destroy Kauai as a test, and than move onto conquering the world. That is where the heroes step in and take care of things. There is a big fight and finally in the end the villains win, at least they come close, right at the very last second the whole thing turns around to favor the heroes. I think that the video could turn out great if we work hard on it. Well, I will give you the TIAS to look at here, careful though, the story is kind of long. Come back soon to check to see more updates for my video!
I am going to tell you today about 3 of my most exciting times up until now. First of all I will tell you that I do not get too excited over things, if you make me take a personality test, it will even say that. The first thing I remembered when I thought of exciting events was last year's STN. The second thing was the Kauai's Got Talent show last year. The final thing that I thought of was when I got the note last year that I got accepted into media.
Last year when we went to Florida for STN, something very exciting happened to me. We had finished all the competitions and then it was time for the closing ceremony. I had waited until they were about to announce the spot feature teams, which is what I was on, and when it finally came I got so excited. To add to the excitement, we got 1st place! That moment was very exciting for me, and probably for many others.
The second time I was excited was when we, my sister and I, entered an island wide talent show. Like always, it was for magic. We preformed our magic and in the end they announced the winners, and we had one first place in the talent show for middle schoolers. It was very exciting for us.
One of the more exciting times, that the first thing depended on happening, was when I got accepted into media last year. We all got letters about us making it in or not, and when I got mine, it was exciting. I found out that I had made it in, when there could have been 20 other kids trying to get in too! That was a very exciting time for me.
I have had a couple of other times that people would normally would have been excited about, but like I said, I don't get excited too easily. I will admit it was kind of hard to think of 3 things that got me really excited. Well, I will see you soon!
Nobody really likes people being lazy and making a mess of things because of it, so you should always fear laziness. I am going talk about how I can break the chain of laziness at school and home. There are many ways to do that. First I will tell you ways that I will not start the chain, how I can end the chain, and even how you can prevent the chain.
To not start the chain is usually more simple than ending it. If it is putting away a camera bag you only need to put yours away, while ending it you need to take at least 2 bags, your own and others that were left out. It is just way more simple to not start than ending it. You just need to simply need to do what needs to be done to not allow yourself to start the chain.
Ending the chain is probably one of the harder things to do in stopping the chain of laziness. I say that for the same reason from a little while back. When ending the chain you need to finish up what the other people did not finish up. In some cases that might be putting something away, sometime it might be more complicated like cleaning up a pile of dead leaves and driving it to a green waste center.
The easiest way to stop the chain, is by simply preventing the start of the chain from being caused by someone. You can simply remind someone to put something away that they left out or by saying that they are being a bit rude and lazy by not doing so and so.
Over all, don't be lazy, it will save many people lots of time and trouble. Well, STN will be coming up here soon and when it does get here, I will have to post a blog everyday about what we did that day. Well see you soon, bye!
With our 4th Quarter projects, and STN, coming up, there will e lots of acting for many people's videos needed. Due to that, I thought it would be a good idea to share this video I found o vimeo with all of you. This is no regular video, in fact it is a video on how to be better actors. They put together a couple of tip into a short tutorial video, and they might seem like some obvious things, but they really can help. I have had to act in a few things and I know that these can be pretty important. I hope you like the video, and I hope you are able to put your new acting skills to good use!
I am in 8th grade in my school's Advanced Media class. I love this class and I have been having lots of fun in it. This past year we went to San Diego, where STN was held, and the year before it was in Orlando. This year it was in Atlanta, Georgia.
